Angel of Grief

How can I explain or even begin to describe, the pain we have all experienced in one form or another. The Grief of lost hope and promises unfulfilled.
The trauma and pain of a relationship severed suddenly, without closure or last good byes. The lonely nights and the empty bed.
Harsh cruel words spoken, only to be forgotten and replaced, by the gentle caress of lost love. Fighting the desire to call or search my love out! Only to remember there is no escape from our fighting and my feeling of suffocation of being trapped in my own home.
Losing a part of me that can never be regained, my naivete. The trust lost, but with time I will once again regain.

Angel of Grief is an 1894 sculpture by William Wetmore Story which serves as the grave stone of the artist and his wife at the Protestant Cemetery, Rome.

Raging on the Swing

Art is such great therapy. I hope I'm not offending anyone out there. We all experience anger in our lives, I dont know what you do with your anger - I have always buried mine - today I expressed it.

I'm also working on a beautiful painting of the "Angel of Grief" a sculpture by William Wetmore Story, done in 1894. The piece is just flowing so beautifully I can't wait to share it with you.

Happy Painting,
Teresa (Tess)

A Jar of Tulips

This piece came out so beautifully, I'm pleased with the dramatic dark background, and the light coming from behind adds a beautiful glow to the tulips. That are simply displayed in a glass jar.

STEP FIVE: The completed piece, sorry I skipped step four on the blog. Step Four I cut mounted the one inch strips onto a piece of poster board that I have folded into an accordion. I'm very pleased with this 3/D piece!
